First Visit

People with Special Needs learn about Jesus in safe, developmentally appropriate environments surrounded by loving volunteers and staff. Let us know you're coming by completing an Intake form.

Parking

When you arrive please feel free to park in the Special Friends designated parking spaces which are located by the playground and big blue ramp into the building. The Academy signs in the parking lot will direct you to this designated area. After you park, walk up the blue ramp and we’re located inside on the right in Pod D.

What You'll Find

Ministry volunteers will be available to welcome and care for your child demonstrating patience, maturity and dedication as they share the love of Jesus through their words and actions. Special Friends offers a large group room (we call it a Pod) for worship, music and movies as well as six classrooms which include a therapy swing, a quiet room and a sensory room.

Community Group

Parents and caregivers have unique responsibilities and experiences that go beyond the hours of a typical day. Consider building community and refueling at the Parents and Care Givers of Special Needs Community Group. Childcare for Special Friends is available while the group meets.

Events

You can also enjoy regularly scheduled Friday Fun Nights. Themed evenings with movies, karaoke and fun for the kids, while parents and caregivers go out for the evening.
